Emergency First Aid At Work
It is important that all organisations perform a first aid needs assessment to identify which first aid at work course is required. This course is ideal for low risk workplaces (e.g. local shops and offices) and gives learners the tools to deal with a range of first aid situations.
Highfield Level 3 award in Emergency First Aid At Work
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders if a workplace first aid needs assessment identifies this as a requirement. This qualification meets the standards for training emergency first-aiders, as set out by HSE.
Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course syllabus. This includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Practical demonstration assessed by the trainer throughout the course and a multiple-choice theory test.
To complete this Emergency First Aid At Work qualification learners should expect to undertake 7 hours of learning, typically over one day, with a minimum contact time of 6 hours.

Be able to assess an incident
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
~Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
